Guess al 50 Comedies

Hey all, this is something I made for fun and is a work in progress, so feel free to critique away! I am still working on polishing it up and have some grammatical errors to attend to (so don't bother pointing those out yet) but if there is anything about it that does not seem to work or you flat out don't like, let me know and I might fix it - I am no flash genius, so if you know of a script that might help the flow (especially if you know how to add lag to the image movement) let me know. If you want to suggest movies you think should have been included, feel free to...someday i might ad some or even make a sequel. Also let me know how hard/easy this was for you as it is impossible for me to tell since I'm the one who made the clues.

hope you enjoy!

  1. The game is a good idea, but a lot of the pictures are too blurry and pixelated, or just plain too small to see.

  2. After about 45 minutes, I have half of them

nice game once you get used to navigation

using the zoom in feature helped me a lot

  3. Took a while, but finally got them all. (Working with a friend and thinking outloud helps a ton)

Firstly I'd say some of these were brilliant! It was tons of fun, and lots of laughs at the clever visual puns! Great job!

I def. agree with the DanManX about some of the pix being hard to decipher. The Superman, Drillbit and Goldfish were particularly hard to make out.

The one major criticism I have is there's no victory screen! The only way to confirm that we got all 50 was to count the checkmarks. Some sort of "Congratulations!" pop up, or a victory song is definitely in needed.

    Thanks again!

  4. I had to cheat for about 20 of them, but some of them I smacked myself on the head. Some of the pictures are way too grainy. I thought the general on top of the building just had no neck.

It'd be nice to have a greater differentiation between which elements go together. I thought the bears and the crying girl were two separate entities, and I thought the bean and the bench were the same thing.

  5. Great game, I really enjoyed it! Just the navigation - could be improved, especially the pictures on the side. I had to go off-screen with my cursor just to be able to click on the "half-baked" one, for example. But I love riddles - really good game, thanks!!

  6. I just don't get it. It looks I am a retard.
Or make an example to get something.

  7. Is the game working? I've typed in several answers I think are right (American Pie, Bad News Bears, Throw Momma From the Train, etc) and none are accepted.

  8. i love the static version. it's a clever game - and just tricky enough to make me think. of course there are the obtuse ones, but I couldn't suggest any constructive ways of improving. keep up the great work and bring out some more.
btw: some people have written that they were offnded by Juno. I am australian and I don't know if that is the reason why I am laid back about these things but I just thought it was clever. Some people are too sensitive and need to get over themselves.

  9. ps: how do you know you've finished - apart from counting 50 ticks (which can be hard!). Are you able to make a little exclamatory design to let us know we have them all?

  10. thanks to all, I might have some time in a bit to try and improve it! I know the navigation is kinda screwy...I just dont seem to have the coding skills necessary to make it better...I will work on a victory screen and see about making some of the smaller, grainier images more clear...THANKS!
